This Thursday we talked about how we thought Terra Nova was going….. which was not good. We also discussed the premier of The Walking Dead on AMC. Nicole loved it but I as usual thought it was a little slow, at least it will pick up and i know for sure I am not wasting my time watching. Afterall it is a zombie apocalypse show it can’t be bad for long. We even talked about the new FX series called American Horror Story. I don’t know how we missed this but Nicole is a big fan of the show and me well iI don’t dig it so much but if you like a horror/murder/mystery show then this is the one for you, so don’t let me run you off from trying it out.

We managed to discuss paranormal news this week as usual on Thursdays. Hit one of the biggest piles of garbage on video that we found. The Brazil dead alien clip. Don’t even bother, this video is a joke and its even worse than the Russian alien video that was out earlier this year. Talked about the book UFO Highway that was released by Anthony F. Sanchez. This book looks amazing and Norio Hayakawa did the forward. Go out and get this book, I look forward to talking with Anthony in the near future as a guest on the show. The Dulce underground base has one of the best stories in all of Ufology.

In James Randi news I learned of a little bt of legal trouble that may be brewing for James. In an article posted by the dailygrail.com. Inside it talks about how James may be harboring an illegal alien that was charged with ID theft. Seems that James employed an “assistant” in the 80′ and that assistants name is being used by his new pal Jose Alverez. James Randi is an 83 year old magician that has his famous 1 million dollar reward up for grabs for anyone who can prove they have psychic abilities. As of this date no one has claimed the prize.

Nicole and I Finished up by discussing the OCCUPY movement. What it means to us, what we think the main message should be and where we see this all going. I was going to have a recorded interview by one of the organizers of Occupy Raleigh but that interview was rescheduled for this Saturday at 11am during the next rally at the capitol grounds here in Raleigh NC.

Minisode: Paranormal news and The Burden of Proof

Bon Bini!

Tonight we return to the airwaves with another addition of a Mind Cemetery innovation: the Minisode!

This Minisode is packed with information. We have of course our usual paranormal news but, we also have the return of The Burden of Proof segment. This week Nicole and I will talk about the Occupy Movement and where we see it going. To tie into that in our second hour we will have our first prerecorded interview with one of the media representatives from Occupy Raleigh, Micheal Gould. I also happen to work with Mike. We will have a discussion on how things are going and what the overall message is, how the movement plans to move forward, what do they feel they need to do to get better as a group and what do they think they have done well so far.

**UPDATE**

The recorded interview with Occupy Raleigh representative Mike Gould will be recorded this coming Saturday 10-22-11 while at the actual gathering in downtown Raleigh. The recording will be played next Thursday.

Archive: Terra Nova, EVP Paranormal news Minisode

This minisode was a short one but full of good information. *Spoiler Alert* We talked about what we expect and want out of Terra Nova as a series. Spoke about the other good sci-fi shows that hit the small screen this past year with Falling Skies and The Walking Dead.  By the way The Walking Dead comes back on 10-16-11 on AMC so check for it.

Mentioned the recent David Icke legal issue news and directed people to check out the blog here on our site. Of course we have a blog here with links so you can check out the news first hand.

Talked about some of the new UFO sightings on the MUFON case management system. A lot of the new reports coming in over the past year have been describing multiple color orbs. They even describe possible dogfights between the orbs in the air which is interesting on its own. MUFON has reported a large increase in sightings this year. The normal amounts are in the 500′s per month and they report over 1,000 a month this year. This is huge int he field of Ufology and may be signaling something much bigger ont he horizon.

Last, during our Burden of Proof segment, Nicole and I discussed EVP. Electronic voice phenomena as its come to be known is a recording of a voice or voices on a device during the investigation of paranormal activity. We defined what it is and how it can be used to determine what is actually going on at an active location. Nicole had 10 recording played for us and I tried to identify what was being said. Check out the podcast and see if you can hear anything in them and find out what was being said.

Minisode: Paranormal news, Terra Nova review and The Burden of Proof

This week we have a special segment where we review the new FOX series Terra Nova. Is it a LOST replacement? will it have as many unanswered annoying questions lingering as LOST? Or will we find ourselves satisfied int he end no matter how it turns out: good, bad or ugly! This week Nicole and I will discuss our hopes and thoughts on the premier and what we hope to see covered in future episodes.

As always during the Minisode you will get the latest Paranormal and UFO related news hot off the interwebs!

Finally, Nicole will return and come back swinging in our new segment The Burden of Proof. This week we will discuss the EVP phenomena. Fact? Fake? or just plain all in your head? Will she  run off in disgust after being proved wrong again or will she stick it right back in my face that everything I believe in is GARBAGE!

Minisode: Paranomal news and The Burden of Proof

This Thursdays Minisode we will cover the paranormal and UFO news of the week along with bringing back a new fan favorite to the show. It’s a segment that Nicole has come up with that we call The Burden of Proof. The Burden of Proof is an hour long discussion of a UFO/Paranormal related topic that is sure to spark the interest of our listeners. This segment is one that will pit me (the believer) vs. Nicole (the skeptic) in an all out fact filled and logic driven debate. This weeks topic for the Burden of Proof is the alien abduction phenomena as a whole. We will of course be using actual cases that have been reported as a basis for the conversation and of course discuss the investigative techniques used in researching the activity.

Archive: New Format Minisode show

 Fantastic new show format on Thursdays that has us talking about paranormal news and open lines then we move on to our newest segment of our podcast. Nicole jumps in with her new idea of a segment where we debate a hot topic or een a famous concept of topic in the paranormal or UFO field. We bring you The Burden of Proof, an hour long discussion where Nicole and I, skeptic and believer, slug it out with the facts we know and the logic we use to see if we can get to the bottom of anomalous activity in the world as we know it. Who will win? and who will lose? Tune in and find out if the skeptical mind of Nicole takes over the conversation or does the believer change the skeptics mind before your very ears.

We covered in our first segment of Burden of Proof a very hotly contested piece of evidence that has survived the ages: The Shroud of Turin. Sparked by the recent interview with Nigel Kerner on 9-5-11 we delve into the possibility of the Shroud being either a manufactured artifact or the real thing.

Minisode!: 9-15-11 New Show Format!

This weeks Minisode we will be trying out a new format for the Thursday night shows. Nothing too wild just adding a little more structure to the episode. We will be doing the usual paranormal news and commentary along with open lines but for the second half of the show we will be adding a new feature. We call this new segment  Burden of Proof. In this Segment we will discuss a paranormal topic between ourselves each one of us giving our point of view and evidence as it relates to a paranormal topic. It was a great idea of Nicole’s to try out a new format on Thursday and keep us going back and forth.

No Show Thursday :( *UPDATE*

Since it’s so close to the kickoff of another season of the NFL, The Mind Cemetery is calling an audible this week. We have decided to do our usual paranormal news Minisode for this Thurdsday. Which means that Monday 9-12-11 we will not have George or Nikki on to do our monthly CHAPS wrap-up show. What we will be doing is playing the recording on Monday night of the 9-8-11 CHAPS meet-up. This Thursday’s Meet-up will be an open mic night. Looking forward to hearing from all the people who participated in the investigations and what they experienced.

So, to recap. On Monday our regular scheduled show will be the CHAPS meet-up open mic night replay where you can hear about everyone experiences that took part in the Sanford and Creedmoor North Carolina investigations.

EVP Recording

Here is the archive of this past Thursdays Minisode. First off I have listened to the beginning of the show and we both apologize for the stuttering sounds, thanks SKYPE! The actual recording we played is perfect audio wise so no problems there listening to the EVP sessions. In the first half hour we talked about a lot of things, Steve jobs stepping down, Hurricane Irene, 85% of the worlds species undiscovered, Budd Hopkins passing and even a few more nuggets in there for you to listen too. After the first half hour you got a 2 and a half hour recording of the EVP sessions that were conducted on 8-20-11 at the Temple theater in Sanford, NC. The site is a well-known place for paranormal activity, and it surly did not disappoint. The investigation was led by George Mathis, the leader and founder of INSPIR and the meet-up group Carolina Hauntings, Apparitions and Poltergeist Society also known as C.H.A.P.S. Be sure to timestamp the email and what you think you heard, a voice or a sound. ***Please*** remember to not front load anyone when you think you hear a EVP. I absolutely can’t stand when people tell you what to hear. That is not investigation that is showtime for the TV clowns. But, on the other hand just mention you think you heard something and we will go from there.

Thanks to all our fans for listening and remember that we play these shows for the benefit of those that can’t make the investigation or those that can’t get out to do an investigation themselves for whatever reasons. Minisode! The Solo Edition
