On this Minisode your host finally got to buy a case of MRE’s from his favorite local army surplus store, John’s Army Surplus of Raleigh, NC. I got a great deal on this case. Most of the case’s you see on the Internet these days are running anywhere from 80$-120$, not this one!, 50$ for this case! What a steal! John gave me a great deal that’s for sure. So, here at the Mind Cemetery we opened that case LIVE on the show and talked about the meals that it contained, what year it was produced and all the good stuff I never heard while looking for information when i was interested in buy a case for my family. This show is a survivalists dream that’s for sure especially the rookie survivalist that wants to know detailed information about the government issued MRE’s. The MRE Iopened was the Chicken Pesto Pasta one, I took pictures of the contents of this MRE, the case of MRE’s and of all 12 MRE’s that were in the case.  In the picture of the open MRE you can see from left to right: the “goody bag”, Wheat bread, cheese spread w/bacon, mango peach applesauce, heater element, vanilla pudding, hot beverage bag, lemon-line powder drink mix, spoon, chicken pesto pasta entree and finally the bag the entire MRE came in.
