On 3-26-12 we were joined by our special guest Matthew Alper, Author of  The God Part of the Brain: A Scientific Interpretation of Human Spirituality and God.  If hat sounds like a mouthful think again, it’s a brain full. We talkd about the way other species on the planet are genetically predisposed to take on certain traits or even behaviors. For example, the ability for Bees to build a honey comb in a certain pattern or even a cats ability to groom themselves.  No transfer that logic to the Human animal and how our brains were designed bast off of our DNA strands. Why does every culture on the planet no matter where it springs up always look to explain the unexplained? Now, thats the “God” part of the brain coming into formation and turning our thoughts to the spiritual world or even the afterlife in general. Are people that believe in the afterlife or “God” simply going through life living on hope? Does the belief in an afterlife really come down to a coping mechanism for humans to use to help them get through hard times in there lives? As for this Host lets just say that I sure hope its not a exercise in futility. Because if there truly is nothing beyond this life then I would much rather go through it thinking that there is a chance at an afterlife because if there is no hope for one then what is the point of life? Is it as precious as we think it is or is it just as common as sand on a beach?

Ignorance is truly bliss, that is proven day after day and to think that millions and millions of people would curl up in a ball if faced with the futility of there own mortality and the finalization that death brings wouldn’t be as great a world to be apart of  or even part of a species of mammal that is nothing more than the first one to wear pants.

Mind…… BLOWN!

The second hour of our show you got to hear Nicole and I talk about the season finale of everyone’s Zombie favorite: The Walking Dead. We ignored, for lack of a better word, the season finale the previous episode in the paranormal news segment so we hit all the ins and outs of the episode and even the season in general. We do have some spoilers but hey the reality of it is that if you do your homework on the show and the Comic series then none of what we talked about is a surprise. My best advise for a Zombie Apocalypse is to get a chainsaw and go to work! I mean gas isn’t an issue so go crazy, thin the herd and keep moving sure it makes noise but when your surrounded who cares!
