DNA results are in for the Pangboche Yeti Finger

Lend me your finger and I’ll tell you a story……

 

The very same finger that was discovered way back in 1959 during an exploration to Nepal with Americans Tom Slick and actor Jimmy Stewart has been DNA tested over in England.  The finger was on display at London’s Royal College of Surgeons after being donated to them by the late Dr, William Charles Osman Hill. William was a consultant to the Tom Slick expeditions to Nepal and other parts of the world in search of the infamous Yeti.

Matt Hill a reported for the UK’s Daily Mail can be credited with finding the finger several months ago. He was the driving force to have the finger’s DNA tested here recently.  Yesterday on BBC 4 radio the “Yeti finger” was discussed and the data was disclosed for the first time in over 50 years.

What was discovered is that the Pangboche Yeti finger is not a Yeti finger at all. What was found in the DNA testing was HUMAN DNA. Dr. Rob Ogden of the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland did the testing and analysis and was the on to come to the conclusion that the finger is from Human remains and not of the long sought after Yeti.

3 Rules to follow if your looking for Yeti in Nepal

Archivist Mark Murphy this summer found this interesting documentation from the tail end of the Eisenhower administration. In it we see how the Nepalese government outlined what was expected o any expedition that is to be undertaken while inside the boarders of Nepal.  There is no surprise that nations will have agreements and a certain level of diplomacy built into any cross nation or cross culture investigations. But, this one is particularly juicy to most of the people in America or the world for that matter that follow up on Cryptozoology at all.

The 3 rules for looking for Yeti in Nepal are as follows:

1. You have to pay the king of Nepal $5,000 in Indian currency (I assume that’s the local currency)

2: If you track a Yeti you can take pictures or catch it alive. You must not kill the Yeti,but you can only do so if in self defense. All pictures taken of the Yeti alive or dead must be submitted to the government of Nepal as son as possible.

3. Any news of the expedition or the existence of the Yeti must go through the government of Nepal first and not to be given out directly to any reporters or the media.

Sounds simple enough right? Nothing to surprising here, they want to be paid for stepping on there turf, they want the pictures and news you may have and they don’t want to you kill the Yeti. Well, it would all be normal if say you were researching mountain gorillas or goats. That being said, they were looking for the holy grail of cryptozoology and not only was Nepal open for people to go looking for it they even wanted to make sure it was perfectly clear that they wanted to have control of any documentation and research notes that came out of the investigations. After all, it is there Yeti and well its an endangered species isn’t it?

The Goat-Man

We have all heard of the Stink Apes, Bigfoot, Lizard man and now we have a new crypto-beast to worry about. Well at least he or it is new to me. Now we have the Goat Man of Lake Worth Texas. While filtering through the internet this week I found a story written by Nick Redfern on his blog  titled aptly: “there’s something in the woods…” In the blog I discovered that there is a Goat man who loves the bridge you see pictured above. So much so that he is said to haunt it every day. Nick went on to discuss the local lore of the beat and even his own encounter while investigating it with the local law enforcement. The lore goes that its one of 2 things that keep this goat man coming around. The first bit of lore dabbles in the dark arts of the local fans of Satan and a ritual gone bad. Come to think of it when it comes to black rituals when do they ever go right when a beast comes through a dark portal and never goes away? The second theory si that it is the disembodied ghost of a local psycho that ran amuck in town on his family, was caught and hung from the bridge itself. In the process of being hung, his head pop’s off. Well his spirit comes back to the bridge and surrounding area soon after and runs into a unsuspecting goat. The spirit then rips the head off of the goat and claims it for his very own. POOF! instant head for one spirit that’s missing his old one. Either way you want to believe it even good old Jim Marrs himself has reported on it way back in the day when he was a beat writer.

Cyclops Shark!

As if sharks were not scary enough for anyone to think about…. here comes Cyclops Shark!

Ok, it may not be a new breed of shark to comb the water for victims but this little devil comes from the womb of Dusky Shark. It was actually cut from the mother after it was caught by commercial fisherman in the Gulf of California.  A shark expert by the name of expert Felipe Galvan Magana of Mexico’s Centro Interdisciplinario de Ciencias del Mar stated that it is extremely rare to see this happen in a species. Sharks, cats and humans fall into a very small category that have had the genetic defect affect them. Felipe went on to state that less than 50 of this type of defect has been ever discovered, making it a fantastic find for Shark researchers and cryptozoological fans alike.

*NEW* Bigfoot footage..... no pun intended.

A brand spanking new video brought to us by RW Ridley from Crittenden, Kentucky. The footage itself is not new, it was taken in 2005, but it is newly released to the public through the Erickson Project.

Quote off of the Erickson Project website describes their work as:

“Privately funded since 2005, The Erickson Project is actively researching Sasquatch at various study sites in North America. The goal of Adrian Erickson and his team is to have the collected evidence validated by science and the Sasquatch officially recognized as a species or sub-species.”

Now that’s on lofty goal to say the least. In the video we have for you today you will see what is described as a young female Sasquatch laying in a pil of leaves, under the cover of some branches. She looks to be asleep and the video does a good job letting you know where the head and feet are on the creature.

Is it another elaborate hoax put on by some country bumkins or is it the real thing? You watch and decide for yourselves as we provide you the best evidence that not even a show like “Finding Bigfoot” could produce fo their audience. Matt Moneymaker eat your heart out baby!. On that note, “Finding Bigfoot” is filming its second season and as of last week they were up in Minnesota doing a shoot on a local sighting that has been occurring for years. Look forward to the next season of “Finding Bigfoot”, it is the best original cryptozoology show on TV/Cable these days after all.

South Carolina Lizard Man is Back!

Being new to the Carolinas and admitted damn Yankee a lot of stories of paranormal activity are very new to me and actually I’m quite surprised at all the events that happen. seems like down in South Carolina there is a Lizard Man that is terrorizing the people of Lee Co. and more specifically, the Scrape Ore Swamp.  Locals that have encountered the Lizard Man describe him as being 7 foot tall, having red eyes, only 3 digits on each hand all of which ending in points, and they all describe him as a hulking, well build beast. This beast also seems to have a hunger for motor vehicles, ones driving down the road even. There are photos of the aftermath of this beasts attacks over the 4th of July weekend on Leon and Ada Marshall’s mini-van. Seems the Lizard Man is no fan of the suburban soccer mom, can’t say as I blame him.

The Lizard Man was first reported over 23 years ago and by a couple very creditable people,  Sheriff Liston Truesdale and Kenneth Orr an airman stationed at Shaw Air Force Base. Plaster casts were taken of footprints said to of been left behind by the Lizard Man as another piece of evidence about his existence.  The sleepy town of Bishopville, SC has even started to merchandise the creature, South Carolina has even featured him in there states Lottery advertisements.

Minisode: LifeStrength bands and a review of the Finding Bigfoot TV show

Welcome back for another action packed Thursday night MINISODE!!!

Tonight as always Nicole and I are on the prowl for interesting topics and this week is no different. We delve into the new hot craze that is the world of invigorating bands that help the human race get by in our new age of high tech pollution. How does it work? well listen up and find out and see if your 30$ is going to help you survive and have a better life or if its jut going out the window on another fad. Think along the lines of silly bands for adults…. very, very serious adults that want to increase their energy levels.

Then in the second part of this Minisode we will discuss the new Animal Planet series called Finding Bigfoot. I caught this over the weekend while I was visiting with family and it raised my eyebrows in a really creepy way. You know the one up one down kind of raise that women love when you do it to them from across the bar. I think that this show is a great idea for the cryptoid fans out there and with any luck it wont turn out like the ghost hunting shows that are out there. But, I wouldn’t hold my breath on that.

Two Face... The Calf With Two Faces

Looks like that nuclear fallout from Japan has taken effect on the DNA of the local farm animals early this year.

People usually are worried with hormones in the beef or pesticides in the feed for livestock and this picture here just confirms that as they say on Tim and Eric Awesome Show: Great Job! “all the food is poison”… and it just may be true.

This calve was born in the quaint village of Gaoyang, Hebei Provedence in China, you know China the country that is keeping the dollar from colapsing.  The owners and proud parents to the calf, Dong Yubao (I know his name is Dong! LOL) said that ”The calf came out – heads first – and my wife fell to the floor when she saw the two heads and four eyes.” He goes on to say that the calf cant stand on its own and needs to be bottle fed by his granddaughter.

My question is why even let this calf live? Maybe he is looking to sell tickets to come see it on his farm. That would give new meaning to agri-tourism. What would you
