Archive: CHAPS review and Paranormal News

In this months CHAPS meet-up there was an open mic night. Nicole and I shared a few paranormal experiences of our own. In the process of that conversation we had a full on belief structure showdown.  Finally, we get Nicole to admit she is not even a skeptic really, by classic definition. What we have here is a full blown denialist.  In the truest form of the word: Existential.

This episode the chat room was alive and kicking for sure, a lot of great questions given to your hosts this episode.  Thank You. Thanks to Trice and Stefanie for joining us tonight as well. They are hosts for 2 of the best shows on the UFO Paranormal Radio Network , A Global Focus Friday’s at 11pm eastern and Second Sight NYC .

We finally discussed on the air our Tweetfest with none other than Matt Moneymaker himself of the BFRO. take a listen and see what all the hoopla was about from Matt and why he didn’t like our interpretation of the Michigan tracker snubbing. Oh wait! That’s what all the hoopla was about, we called it a snubbing.  Over is over and on to the next one I guess because your two favorite ”paranormal idiots” sorted it out real nice and simple. If you ever have a chance to go Bigfoot Hunting then they are the people to see, one of the biggest organizations that help people hone the skills to find Bigfoot in there neck of the woods.

We talked about the new picture of what looks like a Monolith on Mars that was released. RC Hoaggie is just tickled that this was release because you know of course this is proof that cat people are living on Mars as remnants of an ancient mars civilization that once…. oh FUCK ME you get the point! :)

We talked about the Russian Plasma UFO that had people baffled in St. Petersburg. Needless to say the local authorities are no commenting on the video of an orb in the skies.

lastly, we even got to slip in a UFONUT.com comment or two. first we mentioned that Openminds.tv released a new video of Chuck talking about why he was forced to resign from the Sheriff’s Dept. as a volunteer. All over a cattle mutilation and how to charge an animal with cruelty to an animal all to close/ cover-up a case. earlier in the episode I referenced him in an answer on how to go about new techniques for investigating paranormal activity.

C.H.A.P.S. Wrap-up and Paranormal News Show Archive Blog

Well its Wednesday night and I finally got around to posting the blog with the link tot he archive, Better late than never huh? This week I did my best to try and explain to our new thousands and thousands of listeners just what the Carolina Hauntings, Apparitions and Poltergeist Society meet-up group actually was. We talked about the founder George Matthis and his presentation on 3-18-12 to the good people that joined us in beautiful Raleigh, NC. The meet-up group is the public side of an investigative group headed by George and assisted by Nikki, Demetria, Kerry, Dale and Tomie known as NSPIR. You got to hear why turned me on to the group to begin with and how the investigative techniques were vastly different from what you see coming out of the TV shows. This is a good thing of course because it’s Hollywood after all.  This weekend I will be joining NSPIR in an investigation of the Ferry Plantation house located in Virginia Beach, Va. The investigation will be featured in an episode to follow in the month of April so check it out and lets hope we get some great data int he way of audio, video or personal experiences. Notice I didn’t call it “evidence”? There’s a good reason for that folks. Then of course for our new listeners you got a healthy dose of me ranting. Whats this you say? A rant? It can’ be. I know I seem so un-opinionated during the show that its hard to believe I would shoot my mouth off about someone in the field of research that I don’t care for there latest rounds of shenanigans.  Well this week I tuned my wrath and lazer pointed it in on none other than Jim Penniston and John Burroughs the infamous experiencers of all things UFO and strange at the Bentwaters air base near the Rendelsham Forest in the U.K. Why did I get pissed off? Listen for yourselves its at about the half way mark of the show. To say the least its more complicated to explain here… just listen, its easier.

The rest of the show we managed to get into a discussion on one of the best guests i think that has been floating around the airwaves of various paranormal podcasts and radio shows: Thomas Fusco. I believe hi latest ideas about the manipulation of gravity are some of the best explanations for HOW the various anomalous events occur in the UFO and Paranormal world in general. Nicole of course thinks differently and we get into a great discussion and hilarities ensue.

The rest of the show we go back and forth about various news, nuggets and tidbits we found in our Google reader cue, arguing the relevance and so on. Of course we butted heads on a few stories and my favorite was the DC Demon Cat.

This is a great episode for any new listeners to get to know us better as hosts and a couple in general. We had a famous individual in the chat room as well giving us hell and laughing all the way by the name of Sasha Christie. You may remember her from earlier as a guest and she has a new show upcoming on The UFO Paranormal Radio Network called: Citizen Sane, check it out!

Paranormal news and the Carolina Hauntings, Apparitions and Poltergeist Society Show

We introduce to our fans the Carolina Hauntings Apparitions and Poltergeist Society here in beautiful Raleigh, North Carolina AKA CHAPS. Who are they? What do they do? How do they do it?

This week we talk all the latest and greates paranormal and UFO news form the past month. We talk Cryptozoology stories, Ghosts, Wierd news and even our favorite UFO tales from the far reaches of the Earth.

We also open up a can of act right to the people of a few o our favoite websites and Facebook pages… can’t wait for that fun conversation with Nicole.

Nicole and I will talk Tom Fusco. Why? Well the longer I think about it the more I feel that he is on the right path to understanding and explaining pretty much a majority of Paranormal and UFO related events. The nut sand bolts that is or as he would describe it the weapon or tool used to make it all happen.

Am I right or an I wrong? Who knows but I’m sure Nicole will tell me one way or another.

Tonight we hit on a few good stories before getting into the Carolina Hauntings, Apparitions and Poltergeist Society aka CHAPS Recording.

First of all I have to warn you all that The recording didn’t get off to the best start so be patient and wait about 30 seconds before you can hear me start talking. As usual when Nicole is not here I had a little technical difficulty in hearing the audio files that were being played as well as any callers. We did have a couple callers this week and I only took one as apart o an experimental I guess you could call it.  I couldn’t hear him live during the show but i gave him 30 seconds of airtime and let whatever happen happen. You don’t get that with many podcasts and for better or worse it happened this week at about 17-18 minutes into the show.

The CHAPS meet-up Re-Play:

Once we got through the News I hit play on an interesting recording of the CHAPS meet-up this month that was presented by Regina, a CHAPS member and crime scene investigator. She shared with us her experience and expertise int he field and how it can relate to GSI: Ghost Scene Investigation. How to take pictures, log the evidence, process the scene, secure the site, collect evidence and archive the data for analysis later after the investigation.  Antoehr must listen for any local investigaiton group looking to make the lap into actual paranormal investigation and not just being another “ghost” hunting group. This i how you start to introduce science into the practice of investigating paranormal/anomalous activity.

Hope you all enjoy this episode, I started of a little ruff solo but it smoothed out quickly and I even got a complement about having a great voice for radio…. and probably a good face for it too.

Paranormal news and C.H.A.P.S. Meet-up Replay

Tonight we will be having our first Paranormal News and Carolina Hauntings, Apparitions and Poltergeist Society Meet-up Replay show of the year. During the first meet-up of the year we were joined by a very gifted and talented woman by the name of Lyneah Marks who is a local here in the triangle. Down here it seems that we are very lucky to have access to gifted with talented people in the paranormal field that not only investigate but also are empathic. Some may not believe in it but I do think there is something there in the way of enhanced perception and abilities that just are not able to be pinned down and labeled by modern scientific means. Which of course opens it up to ridicule, and maybe rightly so if you see what some ”empathic” people have done with there “gift”

Lyneah was a very interesting person and will be on the show as a guest all her own so be sure to listen to her well as she hits on a multitude of topics. She does do house cleanings (the spiritual kind not the mop and broom kind ;) ), spiritual healing, meditation teachings and a whole lot of other things. In the discussion with the Meet-up she goes into her own contact with spirits and if you listen real carefully you will hear some key words and phrases that a lot of other well-respected people in the paranormal field have said and that is what sparked my interest in her so much. The use of words and phrases to describe her gift that tip me off, letting me know this is not an average psychic by any means.

Archive up: The Year in Review

Thank you all for making this a fantastic first year!

If you are a long time fan of the show, casual listener or even a new fan then Nicole and I would like to thank each and everyone of you for joining us each Monday night at 11pm on Blogtalkradio.com/mindcemetery.  We know that sometimes you may have asked yourself: Why am I listening to these 2?  Well its simple, you like what you hear and you enjoy the guests we bring to you every week. We try to keep the topics engaging and the conversation open to wonder where it may as we unravel mysteries that are unknown to may of us. As you all know answers are abundant and the real answers are hard to find. We all have to sift through a lot of information till we find the right piece to the puzzle that keeps us asking our own individual questions. You may be hear because you yourself have had an experiences and you looking to find like minded or people with the same experiences as you. Which we hope that we have brought you to a place in you lives where you can look deeper into the subjects you enjoy and realize that your not the only one with questions even though you will find plenty of people with answers. We know you have a choice and can listen to any of the many fine podcasts out here on the internet and were glad you found us and keep us in mind when searching for information and entertainment throughout the past year and into the next.

Keep us in mind as we transition into the year 2012. Keep your head on straight and try not to fall victim to the upcoming onslaught of fear and anxiety to come. We are all in this together and together we will make it with little to no problems.

Listen up as I reveal my thoughts on the Ghost of Christmas Future and who he may really be! We thanked George Matthis founder of INSPIR and host of the CHAPS meet-up group. We finished up talking about a new Bill called the National Defense Authorization Act that was passed in the senate that would suspend the right of Habeas Corpus for all US citizens if it passes.

Archive: 11-14-11 Show Essential listening for the Mind Cemetery Fan

This weeks paranormal news section of the show was taken up by 2 very controversial individuals and the methods to there madness. Now, we know labeling them as “mad” is not exactly an endearing term for Andrew Basiago and David Jacobs but, we are not under any delusions that either individual will ever make ti on our show to defend themselves against the indefensible.

As some of you may know Jacobs is still fully involved in defaming Emma Woods and labeling her as having multiple personalities to get away from the outrageously inappropriate contact he has had with her and less than ethical practices when it comes to the researcher and subject relationship.

Andrew Basiago is one for the ages that’s for sure. He is making claims of time/space travel to the planet of Mars. But wait there’s more, Andy is claiming that none other than the RV expert Ed Dames was there to teach him and his classmates how to survive on the surface of Mars. As if that wasn’t enough, he is also stating that he was in the same training class as none other than President Barack Obama. Now that’s a lot to claim right? He must have endless evidence to back this…….. NOPE! He has nothing but personal conviction and hearsay from at least 2 other people that are heavily interested in seeing this story get as much attention as possible. One of which is the great grand-daughter of Pres. Eisenhower and the other is his friend from the training classes. Ed Dames called into the show on 11-10-11 and disputed all of his claims live on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory.  Andy isn’t one to let facts get in the way of a good story, so prepare yourself for the Lawyer in him to come out when you question is “facts”. Jeffrey Pritchett has a fantastic blog about this here at the Examiner.

Finally, you get to hear in the second hour an analysis of how to listen to EVP’s by Dr. Mark Leary. This is a presentation that was given on 11-10-11 to the Carolina Hauntings Apparitions and Poltergeists Society. It was a great way to see how influenced the human ear can be by others and even how many different answers a wide range of experienced researchers can be. He did a group experiment on listening to 10 EVP recordings from the Ferry house in Va. and the various EVP’s collected at the location.Check out the audio analysis software that is out on the market and get the best bang for your buck as you get farther into the world of paranormal investigation. George Matthis and Mark help discuss a couple great programs to help the novice and the professional alike.

Tonight: CHAPS, EVP and Paranormal News

Join us as we replay the meet-up recording from the 11-10-11 Carolina Hauntings Apparitions and Poltergeist Society meet-up. At this meet-up we listened to a presentation by Dr. Mark about EVP analysis and interpretation. George Matthis also made a presentation talking about various EVP analyzing programs out there on the web that you can use to filter out various background noise.

Nicole and I will also review the various paranormal news stories that have been going on since Halloween. The paranormal/Ufology world is abuzz from recent events and interviews on Coast to Coast AM, we will weigh in on it as it pertains to secret programs that some claim that sent people to Mars in the early eighties and even sent President Obama to Mars.

As you know our partnership with INSPIR and CHAPS allows us access to some of the best paranormal researchers and minds in the Carolinas. Archive: 1st Annual Halloween Extravaganza!

Well it’s in the magical Mind Cemetery cardboard box so you all know what that means. That’s right, the 1st Annual Halloween Extravaganza is up and on archive for all time on the internet! We had a very busy show this week and even extended it a bonus 30 minutes to allow us the time to provide to you a very special treat… or was it a trick? The world may never know for sure but it will be our secret until you give the show a listen and find out for yourselves.

What we can tell you is that in our first Halloween special we managed to cover a slew of topics: A short discussion on the future of the Mind Cemetery podcast (it’s not going away it’s just getting started and from here on out it’s nowhere but up!), an eagerly awaited announcement that is also Top Secret, Nicole and I shared our past Halloween costume choices, talked about hot costumes this year for adults and kids in the form of a top 10 list, one really sick and creepy story about the space needle in Gatlinburg, TN, our Mordecai House tour here in beautiful downtown Raleigh, NC, Heard a recording of a presentation by NSPIR founder George Matthis about his encounters at the Mordecai House, and MUCH, MUCH, MORE!

10-17-11 EVP recording Archive Blog

This week was the replay of our recording from an investigation I went on Saturday night, 10-15-11. During the investigation I did have 4 separate events occur and was lucky enough to have the recorder going as they happened to catch them. As you know I have had trouble lately working the recorder and missed an entire Meet-up last Thursday. Unfortunately I goofed it up again. I managed to not his record during the last session that was held in the downstairs bathroom. This room has recently been discovered as the old servant quarter of the home and thought to be the home another spirit living in the home. This would bring the total of spirits in the home up to 7 in total. This spirit is credited with patting or slapping the home owner on the rear while he was using the sink and mirror.

This investigation brought out an unexpected event int he bathroom. Without even prompting one of the flashlights was turned off in the room. It did not go dim or even give off the sound of it being shut off but it was just cut off. It was right in front of me and when the other investigator picked it up to turn it on she had to click it twice, Seems like the on/off switch was bypassed somehow. This was all int he last session that was not recorded due to user error by yours truly.

In the second EVP session you can CLEARLY hear a thump on the wall. This was just the beginning as it wasnt too soon after the wall thump that the most chilling event of the night happened, and thank God it didn’t happen to me. The founder and lead investigator, George Matthis, was sitting on the floor opposite of me . He took up a position on the floor next to the door that is said to be slammed shut by the spirit in the home by the name of “Will”. Will is the son of a previous owner that was killed in the road out front. He wandered into the road drunk on night and was hit by a truck.  Well, while sitting in the same spot I had previously been located on the past investigation George had his head slammed against the wall. This was scary! I jumped up out of my skin as I sat on the floor and thought holy hell this is real! This is the first time a presence in the home has acted out with physical violence. A maid has been growled at but never has something been able to inflict physical harm on a person.

This was a great episode to hear actual evidence collected and see how we all reacted to the events that took place. We have to thank George and Niki with NSPIR and CHAPS for allowing us to record and air the investigation. Of course the Mind Cemetery thank the home owner, whom you hear explain the events of the home to you in the beginning, for opening his lovely (and haunted) home to us all to learn and enjoy.
