CHAPS Wrap-up and Paranormal News

This week we will b having a special gust on with us to discuss what went on during the latest CHAPS meet-up in Raleigh. As you know we are partnered with Carolina Hauntings, Apparitions and Poltergeist Society here in Raleigh, NC. They allow us to come in on investigations and if your a long time listener to the show you got to hear the actual recordings of the meet-up itself. These days we don’t record the meet-ups anymore but we do bring the information home to you. This week will be the first week we have a representative from the meet-up joining us.  Kerry Mote, author and paranormal researcher/experiencer will join us to talk about the topic of how mental disorders and psychological issues come into play when talking about the paranormal. She will also cover her own work in the paranormal field along with a pre-investigation interview that will open the door further as to what is going on during a suspected or prospective paranormal investigation. It’s all about separating the wheat from the chafe.

Kerry will be on for the first hour so be sure to catch us Live at 9pm eastern.

The second hour will be our usual paranormal news segment where Nicole and I will hit on the latest topics and controversies in the paranormal, ufo and crypto world. And no doubt have a few head butts along the way.

Archive: CHAPS review and Paranormal News

In this months CHAPS meet-up there was an open mic night. Nicole and I shared a few paranormal experiences of our own. In the process of that conversation we had a full on belief structure showdown.  Finally, we get Nicole to admit she is not even a skeptic really, by classic definition. What we have here is a full blown denialist.  In the truest form of the word: Existential.

This episode the chat room was alive and kicking for sure, a lot of great questions given to your hosts this episode.  Thank You. Thanks to Trice and Stefanie for joining us tonight as well. They are hosts for 2 of the best shows on the UFO Paranormal Radio Network , A Global Focus Friday’s at 11pm eastern and Second Sight NYC .

We finally discussed on the air our Tweetfest with none other than Matt Moneymaker himself of the BFRO. take a listen and see what all the hoopla was about from Matt and why he didn’t like our interpretation of the Michigan tracker snubbing. Oh wait! That’s what all the hoopla was about, we called it a snubbing.  Over is over and on to the next one I guess because your two favorite ”paranormal idiots” sorted it out real nice and simple. If you ever have a chance to go Bigfoot Hunting then they are the people to see, one of the biggest organizations that help people hone the skills to find Bigfoot in there neck of the woods.

We talked about the new picture of what looks like a Monolith on Mars that was released. RC Hoaggie is just tickled that this was release because you know of course this is proof that cat people are living on Mars as remnants of an ancient mars civilization that once…. oh FUCK ME you get the point! :)

We talked about the Russian Plasma UFO that had people baffled in St. Petersburg. Needless to say the local authorities are no commenting on the video of an orb in the skies.

lastly, we even got to slip in a UFONUT.com comment or two. first we mentioned that Openminds.tv released a new video of Chuck talking about why he was forced to resign from the Sheriff’s Dept. as a volunteer. All over a cattle mutilation and how to charge an animal with cruelty to an animal all to close/ cover-up a case. earlier in the episode I referenced him in an answer on how to go about new techniques for investigating paranormal activity.

C.H.A.P.S. Wrap-up and Paranormal News Show Archive Blog

Well its Wednesday night and I finally got around to posting the blog with the link tot he archive, Better late than never huh? This week I did my best to try and explain to our new thousands and thousands of listeners just what the Carolina Hauntings, Apparitions and Poltergeist Society meet-up group actually was. We talked about the founder George Matthis and his presentation on 3-18-12 to the good people that joined us in beautiful Raleigh, NC. The meet-up group is the public side of an investigative group headed by George and assisted by Nikki, Demetria, Kerry, Dale and Tomie known as NSPIR. You got to hear why turned me on to the group to begin with and how the investigative techniques were vastly different from what you see coming out of the TV shows. This is a good thing of course because it’s Hollywood after all.  This weekend I will be joining NSPIR in an investigation of the Ferry Plantation house located in Virginia Beach, Va. The investigation will be featured in an episode to follow in the month of April so check it out and lets hope we get some great data int he way of audio, video or personal experiences. Notice I didn’t call it “evidence”? There’s a good reason for that folks. If you are in the Triangle area of North Carolina and would like to join us then please come on out for the meet-up’s on the second Thursday of every month and follow us through the links provided.

Then of course for our new listeners you got a healthy dose of me ranting. Whats this you say? A rant? It can’ be. I know I seem so un-opinionated during the show that its hard to believe I would shoot my mouth off about someone in the field of research that I don’t care for there latest rounds of shenanigans.  Well this week I tuned my wrath and lazer pointed it in on none other than Jim Penniston and John Burroughs the infamous experiencers of all things UFO and strange at the Bentwaters air base near the Rendelsham Forest in the U.K. Why did I get pissed off? Listen for yourselves its at about the half way mark of the show. To say the least its more complicated to explain here… just listen, its easier.

The rest of the show we managed to get into a discussion on one of the best guests i think that has been floating around the airwaves of various paranormal podcasts and radio shows: Thomas Fusco. I believe hi latest ideas about the manipulation of gravity are some of the best explanations for HOW the various anomalous events occur in the UFO and Paranormal world in general. Nicole of course thinks differently and we get into a great discussion and hilarities ensue.

The rest of the show we go back and forth about various news, nuggets and tidbits we found in our Google reader cue, arguing the relevance and so on. Of course we butted heads on a few stories and my favorite was the DC Demon Cat.

This is a great episode for any new listeners to get to know us better as hosts and a couple in general. We had a famous individual in the chat room as well giving us hell and laughing all the way by the name of Sasha Christie. You may remember her from earlier as a guest and she has a new show upcoming on The UFO Paranormal Radio Network called: Citizen Sane, check it out!

Paranormal news and the Carolina Hauntings, Apparitions and Poltergeist Society Show

We introduce to our fans the Carolina Hauntings Apparitions and Poltergeist Society here in beautiful Raleigh, North Carolina AKA CHAPS. Who are they? What do they do? How do they do it?

This week we talk all the latest and greates paranormal and UFO news form the past month. We talk Cryptozoology stories, Ghosts, Wierd news and even our favorite UFO tales from the far reaches of the Earth.

We also open up a can of act right to the people of a few o our favoite websites and Facebook pages… can’t wait for that fun conversation with Nicole.

Nicole and I will talk Tom Fusco. Why? Well the longer I think about it the more I feel that he is on the right path to understanding and explaining pretty much a majority of Paranormal and UFO related events. The nut sand bolts that is or as he would describe it the weapon or tool used to make it all happen.

Am I right or an I wrong? Who knows but I’m sure Nicole will tell me one way or another.

Tonight we hit on a few good stories before getting into the Carolina Hauntings, Apparitions and Poltergeist Society aka CHAPS Recording.

First of all I have to warn you all that The recording didn’t get off to the best start so be patient and wait about 30 seconds before you can hear me start talking. As usual when Nicole is not here I had a little technical difficulty in hearing the audio files that were being played as well as any callers. We did have a couple callers this week and I only took one as apart o an experimental I guess you could call it.  I couldn’t hear him live during the show but i gave him 30 seconds of airtime and let whatever happen happen. You don’t get that with many podcasts and for better or worse it happened this week at about 17-18 minutes into the show.

The CHAPS meet-up Re-Play:

Once we got through the News I hit play on an interesting recording of the CHAPS meet-up this month that was presented by Regina, a CHAPS member and crime scene investigator. She shared with us her experience and expertise int he field and how it can relate to GSI: Ghost Scene Investigation. How to take pictures, log the evidence, process the scene, secure the site, collect evidence and archive the data for analysis later after the investigation.  Antoehr must listen for any local investigaiton group looking to make the lap into actual paranormal investigation and not just being another “ghost” hunting group. This i how you start to introduce science into the practice of investigating paranormal/anomalous activity.

Hope you all enjoy this episode, I started of a little ruff solo but it smoothed out quickly and I even got a complement about having a great voice for radio…. and probably a good face for it too.

Tonight we speak for the first time about the fantastic future on the horizon for the show and for you as the listener!

I will be flying solo this week as Nicole will not be joining me for the first part of the podcast. During the Paranormal News section you can expect me to touch on the changing of the Director of MUFON, the latest Sacha Christie new in her quest for answers in the famous UFO case known as the Rendlesham Forest Incident, the untimely death of Whitney Houston, the Iceland sea serpent and much more!

With any luck we may even get to hear from Sacha Christie herself  after her interview onight on The Jerry Pippen show at 7pm eastern

The C.H.A.P.S Replay tonight will be about the gathering of information during a paranormal investigation by one of our very own talented members of Carolina Hauntings, Apparitions and Poltergeist Society.

Regina R. will be sharing some insight into similarities between  paranormal investigation and crime scene investigation by providing a look into some of the techniques used her field.  Regina’s background in the field of crime scene investigation started her career path in law enforcement at the Pearl Harbor Police Department. In 2003, she moved to the Midwest for graduate school and later received a MS degree in Forensic Science specializing in Investigation.

Currently, she is a Crime Scene Investigator for a law enforcement agency in North Carolina. Since the start of her employment, she has received additional training in crime scene processing, photography, documentation and statement analyses. Over the past three years, she has processed approximately 500 crime scenes. It is her job at every scene to analyze, document, collect and preserve all the evidence whether or not the evidence supports the original theories presented by the witnesses.

Her interest in the paranormal heightened when she lived in Hawaii. Hawaii is a very spiritual place and rich with both ancient Hawaiian and United States history. As an officer, she patrolled several of the areas on Oahu where many of the ghost stories are noted to have occurred. In some cases, she had the opportunity to experience some of them firsthand.

Then of course we went into the recording of Lyneah Marks, in an excerpt from our partners at the C.H.A.P.S. website we have a brief description of Mrs. Mark’s and her experiences which are sure to spark an interest. Lyneah Marks’ first recollection of seeing a ghost was at her Aunt’s Thanksgiving Dinner before her brother was born, which means she was 14 months old.  This sighting was confirmed by her cousin who had also seen this vivid, sad, lonely basement ghost. This sparked a life-long yearning to help disembodied spirits who seemed so lost, lonely and sad. During this meeting, Lyneah will share stories of her ghost sightings, and her near-death experience of 1976.

Lyneah also provides a service she calls “ECE” Energy Clearing and Elevation for houses, businesses and land to clear ghosts and lower energy forms replacing them with higher vibrations of joy and love.   Some of her ghost sightings have been on house clearing adventures. Lyneah’s heart’s desire is to help people and planet move forward on their paths of spiritual development.  Lyneah’s soon-to-be-published book Thirsting for a Raindrop contains some of these stories.

Lyneah is the owner of Body, Soul & Angels (http://bodysoulandangels.com/) and lives in Raleigh North Carolina.  Shehas a MA in Science Education from West Virginia University and has been a full time licensed/certified massage therapist, reflexologist and healer since 1996.

Paranormal news and C.H.A.P.S. Meet-up Replay

Tonight we will be having our first Paranormal News and Carolina Hauntings, Apparitions and Poltergeist Society Meet-up Replay show of the year. During the first meet-up of the year we were joined by a very gifted and talented woman by the name of Lyneah Marks who is a local here in the triangle. Down here it seems that we are very lucky to have access to gifted with talented people in the paranormal field that not only investigate but also are empathic. Some may not believe in it but I do think there is something there in the way of enhanced perception and abilities that just are not able to be pinned down and labeled by modern scientific means. Which of course opens it up to ridicule, and maybe rightly so if you see what some ”empathic” people have done with there “gift”

Lyneah was a very interesting person and will be on the show as a guest all her own so be sure to listen to her well as she hits on a multitude of topics. She does do house cleanings (the spiritual kind not the mop and broom kind ;) ), spiritual healing, meditation teachings and a whole lot of other things. In the discussion with the Meet-up she goes into her own contact with spirits and if you listen real carefully you will hear some key words and phrases that a lot of other well-respected people in the paranormal field have said and that is what sparked my interest in her so much. The use of words and phrases to describe her gift that tip me off, letting me know this is not an average psychic by any means.

The End of 2011 is Here!

Happy New Year!

Wow… seems a bit anti-climactic after a massive picture like the one above dosen’t it? Whats left to say this year other than it has been a wild ride here at The Mind Cemetery. We launched our own Podcast, started a website, Facebook page, Twitter account, I even broke through and started blogging. Now, blogging may not seem like a big deal to so many that frequent the site I will admit but, If you only knew how much just a year ago that I despised the idea of a blog. I even went as far as to attempt to phase the word out of my vocabulary all together by simply calling them: internet articles. Somehow internet article dosen’t roll right off the tongue like blog does. But what a difference a year makes… well a year and alot of arguing with Nicole where in the end I come to the conclusion that its pointless to fight the wave but much easier to just bend my mind around thoughts and ideas that have become internet staples. In short be like the Willow and not the Oak, the Oak breaks when the Willow bends.

Now, that being said there are a few things I will not bend too, as our fans and followers have found out I’m not a fan of bullshit. Big surprise right? And to my discovery neither are YOU! Which is great because the Paranormal and Ufology community as a whole is besieged at all sides by bullshit.  We here have come at a crossroads of sorts in the shows evolution. We started this as wide eyed, wet behind the ears, rookies thinking that this was all just great conversation for the listener to decide. What we found out is that we cannot let nonsense infect the mainstream of investigatory work that so many out there in the field work so hard and get so little recognition from. It is the Bullshit that holds the Paranormal and Ufology investigators  at bay by the “legitimate” scientific world.

So, what are YOU (or US for that matter) going to do about it?

What we always have done my friends, fans, followers and listeners: FIGHT!

This year on the Mind Cemetery we will fight to bring you the most respected, ethical, hard working, honest and open individuals possible as guests to the show. We will fight to keep the sanitary light of truth and integrity and academic honesty shining on the cockroaches that attempt to multiply the bullshit.  I know Bullshit is a strong word for some of our friends, fans, followers and listeners. I apologize for the use of it and as you have learned in our evolution I have a sharp tongue that has been slowly but surely getting better. In 2012 a line in the sand has been drawn, a fight for your sanity is underway. WE do not want your sanity, simply your ear and an open mind.

An open mind… that brings me to the last part of this blog. What does Mind Cemetery mean anyway? What does it mean to you? For you the friend, fan, follower and listener the meaning of the word may mean many different things to you, which is fine. To me it means not letting your mind get rotted by so much hype, misinformation and one track thinking that it ends up killing it in the long run. So many speak of a new conciseness and an awakening by the human race that is taking place. Be the awakening, think for yourselves. If you do not want to keep your mind sharp and your wits about you then it will die and you may as well buy a plot of land at your favorite cemetery and bury it. Our goal here is simple, bring the information that matters from the people that matter to us to you in an entertaining manner and keep your Mind out of the Cemetery.
